3. Establish a policy of offsetting all greenhouse gas emissions generated by air travel paid for by our institution. Yes: Air travel across the campus has been decreased tremendously over the last year in order to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. |

Yes: Over the last two years the public transportation system has been made more accessible to all faculty, staff, students and visitors by building a new terminal that is extremly user friendly. |

Yes: The school is in the process of erecting a wind generator on the campus. Victor Valley College is also in negotiations to place solar panels on the campus in order to produce more energy from renewable sources. |

Yes: The Mojave Sustainability Project is a symbiotic collaborative between academia, industry, government agencies and individual citizens who recognize the need to promote sustainable development and the unique role education can play in this process. There are multiple recycling bins across campus and waste is taken to the local recycling center. The college is utilizing recycled paper across campus. There is also a natural riparian on campus where birds, plants, fish and animals are used to naturally maintain the area. There are other measures the college is presently working on to reduce waste across the campus. |
