Description Greenhouse gas management work started during the 1990s energy crisis, which prompted the campus to develop an energy team. The current GHG management team has representatives from academics, housing, facilities, environmental health & safety, administrative services, and the university center. The campus has developed a Climate Action Plan incorporating the targets set by AB32 and also setting the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The Associate Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, in concert with the Chancellor's Campus Sustainability Committee, oversees the implementation of the Climate Action Plan and Campus Sustainability Plans.
