Yes: Eastern University electricity for the entire main campus is sourced from wind certificates, provided through Iberdrola Renewables/Community Energy, through the PECO Energy Grid. Eastern University received the Platinum Award from PennFuture, PA for green power purchases. Additionally, Eastern won a certificate of recognition from the Clean Air Council (Thurman Brendlinger, Director Clean Air Council) for outstanding leadership in wind energy for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

6. Establish a policy or a committee that supports climate and sustainability shareholder proposals at companies where our institution's endowment is invested.

7. Participate in the Waste Minimization component of the national RecycleMania competition, and adopt 3 or more associated measures to reduce waste.

Yes: We have adopted measures to reduce waste through aggressive recycling programs and won an award among other colleges and universities in the area for pounds of recyclables compared to pounds of waste.
