| Description | APUS' sustainability efforts are managed through the Office of the President with the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO as the main administrative lead for this function. The APUS Sustainability Committee is comprised of approximately 20 staff members who assist in identifying, researching, and implementing actions necessary for reduction of the university system's greenhouse gas emissions. The Executive Assistant to the President and CEO serves as a liaison between the Sustainability Committee and the President and CEO. |

In addition, we are investigating adding Internet conferencing to reduce travel requirement even more. In 2007, we estimate we avoided 145,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. It is the policy of the company to continue to make use of these facilities in the future wherever it is reasonable to do so. |
