The needed information was compiled from various sources by the Sustainability coordinator and used as the input data for the CA-CP Campus Carbon Calculator v6.6 to generate the emissions inventory.

In order to create estimated mileage data for faculty, staff, and student commuting, average mileage based on zip codes for each group was used. The average miles travelled were established when the 2008 report was created and those values were used again for this report. It was assumed that our students were still primarily from within our distict boundaries and that faculty and staff also were from similar distances from campus as they were in the prior report. The current population numbers for each category were multiplied by the established average mileage values to create the commuter mileage for the report.
