Please describe your institution's greenhouse gas mitigation strategies.

Strategies include promoting carpooling and fuel efficient vehicles, building energy management, waste reduction, and the purchase of offsets.

Please describe your institution's plans to make sustainability a part of the curriculum for all students.

We will include a session on sustainability during freshman orientation. A faculty retreat will be held to develop strategies to incorporate sustainability into existing classes and programs across the curriculum. Strategies for increasing enrollment in the Sustainability Skill Set will also be evaluated.

The Sustainability Institute at Bridgemont has a mission to promote sustainability across the state in the areas of academics, workforce development, and community development. This is a key leadership role for the College and provides many opportunities for outreach.We also partner with local community groups, the media, and promote service learning initiatives.
